Dean's Blue Hole
Peaking at 663 feet deep, Dean’s Blue Hole is said to be the second (a deeper one is currently being discovered) deepest blue hole in the world, and the biggest filled with salt water. A blue hole is a sinkhole that is filled with water and has an entrance located under the surface of the water. The hole is also known as a natural cavern that is filled with water. It is also the second largest underwater chamber in the world. After 66 feet, the hole widens significantly, by over double the size. It is enclosed on three sides by a natural rock amphitheater and on the fourth side by a turquoise lagoon and beautiful white-sand beach. Inside of the hole, there are never any waves. Some adventurers jump off other cliffs into the hole, but others view it from the beach or on guided tours. Overall, Dean’s Blue Hole is a beautiful, deep, record-breaking, and must see geography site.
